Ship & crew

American Signet Rings · Military & Veteran
Some details stay with you long after a chapter ends. A ship number, unit, call sign, date or personal mark can become a signet ring made to carry that meaning every day.
Personal by design
Service means different things to different people. A ring can mark a place, a crew, the people beside you, or the years that changed you. We start with that meaning and find a design that works on a flat signet face.
Choose a clear symbol for the top, then decide whether dates, initials or a call sign belong on the side or inside the band. We review the artwork before engraving and send a digital proof for you to approve.
Design directions
Each concept starts with a clear layout for a flat signet face. Keep the face legible at ring size and let the details carry the story.
A hull number on the face, with a call sign, years of service, or initials as a quieter detail.
Typography can be as meaningful as an emblem. Pair a unit or specialty with a date or personal message.
Start with a simple original mark that holds meaning for you, without forcing a complex crest into a small space.
Illustrations show layout ideas, not finished rings. We confirm the final design and engraving suitability in your proof.
Personal by design
Some symbols need no explanation. A ship, a unit or a date can be a private reminder of the people and places that shaped you.
The ring can carry that meaning with the quiet presence of something worn every day.
The right design for the ring
A flat signet face is a small canvas. Clear lettering and simplified marks read well; tiny scenes and sculpted relief do not. We will tell you when an idea needs to be simplified.
Choose one anchor: a silhouette, initials, unit identifier, coordinates, date, or original mark. The strongest design is often the simplest.
Depending on the ring and layout, add a call sign, service years, short name, or personal phrase as a secondary detail.
A discreet message can stay close to the wearer. The custom builder shows the available character and engraving options.
We review each request for size, clarity, and whether we can reproduce the artwork. For third-party emblems or logos, use artwork you have permission to provide, or ask us about an original alternative.
A proof-first process
Choose the shape, size, finish and available engraving options. If you are unsure of your size, use the free ring sizer first.
Upload your design in the custom builder. No file yet? Tell us what you have in mind before ordering.
We check the artwork and send a digital mockup. Ask for changes before you approve it. Nothing enters production until you do.
After approval, custom production normally takes about one week. Shipping time is separate and shown during checkout.
Before you order
Custom rings start at $169.00. Your chosen engraving and finish options may change the total. US shipping is free on orders over $250; otherwise shipping is calculated at checkout.
Custom orders become final after you approve the digital mockup. Until then, review the design carefully and request changes before production begins.
The craft
A close look should show crisp lines, balanced contrast and a design that still reads at ring size.
We review the requested artwork and send a digital proof before making the ring.
Good questions deserve clear answers
If your idea does not fit a form field, send it to us. The right conversation often starts before an order.
Ask Us About Your DesignThe online custom builder asks for an artwork upload. If you only have an idea, email us a description first. Tell us the symbol, words or numbers you want to include; we can discuss whether the idea suits the ring before you order.
We review requested artwork case by case for clarity and whether it can be reproduced. If a design belongs to another organization, provide artwork you have permission to use. A hull number, dates, initials, call sign, or original mark may tell your story more personally.
Our signets have a flat face. We make clean engraved designs and can discuss background contrast, but not a sculpted, high-relief ring head or a photographic scene. We can suggest a simpler layout when an emblem has too much detail.
Stainless steel rings cannot be resized. Order our free ring sizer if you are unsure, then check the available sizes and shape options on the custom ring page before placing your order.
Yes, review the digital proof and request changes before approving it. Production starts only after your approval. After you approve the proof, the custom order is final.
Custom production normally takes about one week after you approve the proof. Shipping takes additional time and its cost is shown at checkout. If you have a date in mind, ask us before ordering so we can discuss timing.
